Having an issue with  Quest Web Parts for SharePoint – what should be sent to support?

Cause

The issue cannot be resolved and SupportLink search does not return any Solutions related

Resolution

1. Some screenshots with appropriate descriptions clarifying the issue
2. The exact build of the product installed (can be verified via menu of a Quest web part -> About)
3. Site template containing the problem webpart and the list it is connected to. This can be gathered via clicking on Site Actions->Site Settings->Save Site as Template-> enter the template name and select the "Include content" option -> Save. The resulting template can be saved from Site Actions->Site Settings-> (optional: Go to top level site settings)->Site templates
4. If the the site template cannot be provided, please gather list templates (with content), which are viewed by the problem web part, and export of the problem web part gathered via menu -> Export...
