I'd suggest you to go through the log file line by line and search for warnings and errors and try to fix them one at the time then run the installer again.
Keep a history of the log files and compare them after each fix (beyond compare tool could be useful if you don't hae any other tool).
It's important to see if the installer makes progress after each fix.
