Hi Aniketh,

  qDiscussionView web parts doesn't provide an option for sending emails directly but you can set an "Alert Me" event using the tolbar "Actions" menu.

If you use qListForm web part to add/edit a discussion item then you can set up an email alert.

Hi All,

How can we send a email to specific peoplefrom the qdiscussionview web part.

For Instance, we have column name Category, so based on the Category selected we need to send a email alert.

Hi Anca,

Thanks for the suggestion, I will tryt and post whether its working or not. But there is option for qdiscussion as alert me also. Can we set the same suggested by you as for list form.
