As the limitation of SharePoint, we can’t add a webpart zone which is required by Quest Webparts to a master page. You may encounter some problems if you use quest webparts without a webpart zone on a master page

Resolution

We would like to provide you some suggestions to help you to make your current solution can work.

1)      Put Quest webparts in an independent ContentPlaceHolder.

2)      To change the properties of the webpart, edit the html code directly by using code view of SharePoint Designer editor instead of using Edit Webpart Properties dialog. ezEdit does not work in master page.

3)      Set the Chome Type (It uses “FrameType” tag in html code) to “None” to hide the title and the dropdown menu of the webpart.
">

4)      To configure the “Display” à “Configuration” property, you can configure it in another qPanelMenu Webpart, then copy and paste the auto-generated code to the current webpart.
