QDynamicLayout webpart/Zone Tab issues
Main Issue Once a zone tab or the QDynamicLayout webpart is on a page – whether displayed or hidden, the following actions on any webpart on that page will result to 'need to checkout the page' error. – adding and editing new items – clicking on headings to sort items – opening folders – navigating batches of documents As per dev team, the error is caused by the page settings (check out required) and the presence of the zone tabs together. Site Owners and Site Members get the error because they have the access to check out the page. General users get an error as well when: – opening a document and cancelling – clicking on headings to sort items
We confirmed there is a bug in the qDynamicLayout. qDynamicLayout needs to change its property if the page has been changed, but if the page is checkout required, then changing the property of the webpart will cause this checkout exception.
