Regarding the documentation, you can access the help file (chm) from the web parts clicking on the ? Help icon on the ribbon or you can find the pdf version under
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\TEMPLATE\LAYOUTS\QuestSoftware\WAResources\Invariant\Help folder.
Also, for each web part when is dropped on the page for the first time there is a collection of videos available.
