Why would the 5.7 web parts act completely different when rendering a menu on a page?  The 5.5 used a skin to control the width of the part, and adjust it accordingly.  The 5.7 have a flow control setting that does the same thing, except the sensitivity to a width above 180 pixels is ridiculous.  This can be frustrating when having to deal with over 200 pages on our banner sites using these menus.  We must go into each one and change them from the default 185 setting to 180.  The difference is only 5 pixels, but it makes a huge difference on rendering.  Look at the Coffee Bar Quick Links on the left, set to 180.

Look at the same menu with the default setting of 185.

Some idea on how to handle this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Chuck,

  What was the skin you used to have in QWP 5.5 to render the menus? Please note that since 5.5 we did 2 upgrades of the Telerik controls and that changed the skins.

I'd suggest you to try to build a custom skin based on an existing skin (check this link for a tool from Telerik that helps to do that).http://stylebuilder.telerik.com/

If your issue can't be solved through the skin customization then I'd suggest you to build a toll that would change the default value to adapt it better to your needs.
