AnonymousParticipant, thank you. This workaround will do.

AnonymousParticipantHi all,
I have a “Sponsor” look-up column in my qListForm which shows as a drop-downlist and retrieves values from another SharePoint list called “Sponsors”. I would like my end-users to click on a “Add/Modify Sponsors” link (next to the drop-down list) and direct them to go to that Sponsor list. Is this possible in QWP 5.6? (see attached screenshot)
We are running QWP 5.6 in a SharePoint 2010 environment (with Windows Enterprise Server 2008 R2 / SQL 2008 ). Please advise.
Thank you!

AnonymousParticipantI'm glad to hear that.
If you find any issues implementing the workaround please let me know and I'll be glad to help out.

AnonymousParticipantHi ,
You can't add a link on the form next to the Sponsors drop down list but you can create a custom action "New Sponsor" of type GoToURL. That would create a button in the ribbon that would redirect the user to the link that ypou provide in the custom action.
Please let me know how that goes.
