AnonymousParticipantHi Elaine,
I have the recurvise thing working from earlier post – this means (at least conceptually) that the web part *should* pick up all new lists which match the criteria. But as you point out; there seems to be a limit of lists. My recursive webpart is only picking up five subsites. The way I can tell is by turning on the search mode and using the site name as the search field. When I use the web part after applying this setting only 5 of the many many subsites we have with the same named list in it show up. FWIW – the New Item button on the web part also is limited to selecting only 5 subsites.
Has anyone determined how to use a subsite list as the target for this? Does that have the same 5 site limit?

AnonymousParticipantI saw a related question here, but it didn’t necessarily relate to our problem. We have a site that contains about 100 subsites, all of which have a task list which has been named consistently thru the sites to something other than “Tasks”. I created a qlistview part with a 2 field search capability, assigned to and status, and tested it with those lists in about a dozen sites one individual had. It works fine, can search by his name and/or status or show all of them, so I added all 97 lists to the Viewed Lists manually by selecting them from the same sites as the original dozen, just more of the same, but now I can’t even get the original person’s recs to appear. Nothing else changed, just the number of viewed lists, and it DID include those lists he was on. Is there a maximum number of lists that can be rolled up, especally when they are not in the same site? Something else?
Clearly missing something. Thoughts?
TIA

AnonymousParticipantokay – now i have the rolled up list thing working too. however, it is only displaying the lists from 5 subsites in the rolled up list (Site URL) – I can change the order of the items in the rolled up list definition and the first five from the default view are the ones which show up.
