Hello, I am trying to edit the “Flat.aspx” page of the OOB Discussion List. What i want to achieve is as follows: On a webpart on the Home page, i have a OOB Discussion List web part that displays only the Discussion Subjects. When i click on the Subject, it would take me to the “Flat.aspx” page (this is OOB functionality). On the “Flat.aspx” page, i want to hide the OOB web part and place a qDiscussionView web part. The qDiscussionView web part should be filtered for only THAT PARTICULAR Subject thread. (I can not use the SharePoint Designer, i need to use only browser.) Checking the URL for the Flat.aspx page, i notice that there is no ID parameter passed. How would i go about filtering the Discussion list using the qDiscussionView? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Also, if there are any alternative implementations – like not to use OOB Discussion web part on the home page, etc, please do let me know.
