AnonymousParticipantHello Quest community,
I have qListForm SP 2010 webpart where i have used people picker field.
Now whenever user opens this form in people picker field i want to show active directory properties of that user like Department name, username, city name.
I would like to show these details in any field or people picker field.
I would really appriciate if this could be done in OOB way in ezEdit properties on qListForm webpart.
Thanks.

AnonymousParticipantOOTB there is no direct support to pull data off Active Directory. QuickApps for SharePoint (formerly known as Quest Web Parts) 5.7 offers K2 integration where you can take advantage of K2 connection to an Active Directory and retrieve the info you needed. This is done via the feature "SI Column". You can define multiple fields to receive from an external source, such as Active Directory, for department name, user name, city name and etc. as long as these are available in that source. Supporting for Active Directory for SI Column and SI Web Parts is in our backlog. Before this, you would have to create your own custom data access class following the sample provided with QWP installer to pull data from Active Directory.
