  Please take a look at the Custom Display tab feature and check the documentation to find out more details.

The idea is to write a js function that would take xxx characters from your field and display it.

Hello,

I have a field which contains a substantial amount of data making the display in the grid challenging.  Is there a way, using a custom field (or other method) to retrieve a portion of the field?  For example, maybe a Left function where I can specify the number of characters to display?

You need to disable Ajax in order to have this working when you change the page or coming back to this page from another page.

This solution worked great on the first page of the qlist.  When navigating to other pages (or even returning to page 1), the field is blank.  Any ideas?
