      Hello,

I am posting this for a customer.

When a user is added to Group in the SharePoint site, it allows the user to see the link “Group Tools and Resources” as shown in the screenshot (see attachment).  There is a Target Audience associated to the QPanelMenu. (Image002)

As customer can see in the QPanelMenu, a list “Left Nav – BES Associates” is associated to the group.(Image003)

When customer opens the list and check that there is Target Audience on that list as shown in the screenshot below.(Image006)

The actual issue comes up when the administrator of the site adds a “SharePoint group” to the group and the link is not visible to any of the users present in that group. But, if the administrator adds individual user to the group the link “Group Tools and Resources” is visible. Is this a limitation of QPanelMenu to restrict the Group from Targeting or is it a shortcoming from MOSS 2007 side?

      Customer current configuration consists of:

      -Using Quest 5.5 latest version

      -Sharepoint Configuration/Server details

-Windows 2003 Enterprise Edition 64 bit-MOSS 64-bit, SP2 (no updates have been installed beyond SP2)-SQL2008-Have 2 Web Servers and 1 Database Server-The Web servers are load balanced behind a CSS (hardware load balancer)-Using Forms Based Authentication

      Thank You,Kristina

      Hi Kristina,

Please ask the customer to do the same test using a SharePoint native web part.

That would give us a better idea of how SharePoint behaves in this scenario.
