AnonymousParticipantUsing Deployment Manager in both SharePoint 2007 and SharePoint 2010, can you use deployment manager to re-apply metadata that you forgot to add in the migration? For instance, the migration is complete, the files copied over successfully, but I need to pick up a couple of attributes I left out–of course, without re-copying over the entire set of files again.
Thanks,
Yvonne

AnonymousParticipantHi Yvonne,
I think you've gotten this answered in other places already , but for the benefit of others…
Deployment Manager does not have the ability to add additional metadata after the fact.
The new Migration Suite for SharePoint (or the associated targeted products – File Migrator, Public Folder Migrator, etc.) has the ability to "Tag" existing SharePoint content. This allows you to update metadata on items that already exist.
Best,
Tim
