When installing Quest Web Part for SharePoint 2010 on a SharePoint 2010 server, the following error occur:

Error 1001. Please run Quest Web Parts for SharePoint installation on the server (SP2010ServerName.Domain.com) that hosts SharePoint Central Administration application.”

This is confirm that the installation was ran on the correct SharePoint server that hosted the Central Administration page.

Resolution

WORKAROUND:
Please contact development team. There is a workaround, a WSP file that is created for this scenario.
