When updating the license key, the following error occur even the license key provided is a valid key:
The installer is unable to find a valid license for Quest Web Parts for SharePoint. Please install a valid license using the license manager. Please click the License Manager button to launch the License Manager.

Cause

For Windows 2008, this is because the User Account Control (UAC) preventsupdatingthe license key.
For Windows 2003, this error might happen ifregistry key was not properly removed. This is only valid for 64bit installation.

Resolution

RESOLUTION 1:
For Windows 2008, please turn off UAC under the control panel. Or use Run As when installing Quest Web Parts for SharePoint.

RESOLUTION 2:
For Windows 2003, please remove the CurrentVersion key under HKEY
