When you are using the SI List Web Part, and everything tests properly in the SI Config file, you still receive the following error:

Cause
When configuring the SI Config in a SQL load balancing environment, you may receieve this error even though tests in the SI Config come back successful. The reason may be due to the load balancer handling the request incorrectly during implementation.
Resolution
To resolve the load balancing issue with the SI List web part, a potential workaround is to select the IP address of the SQL server that you wish to use for the SI List web part and input this in the Hosts file of the SharePoint machine that is hosting the Web Parts and the SI Config utility.
