QuickApps Solution Deployment is Timing Out

While running the QuickApps Installation, the Solution Deployment fails due to a timeout error.

Going to Central Administration > Manage Farm Solutions > the QuickApps solution is stuck on ‘Deploying…’

Canceling the Deployment Job and re-deploying gives the same issue where it is stuck on ‘Deploying…’ but deploys to NO servers.

Cause

The SharePoint Administration service is not Running on the Web-Front-End server.

Resolution

  1. Remove the solution from CA
  2. Uninstall QuickApps from the WFE
  3. Verify that the SharePoint Administration and Timer services are running on all of the WFEs
  4. Install QuickApps on the WFE
