Receiving javascript errors after upgrade on QuickApps

Description

Receiving javascript errors after upgrade on QuickApps

Please wait...
After upgrading or migrating QuickApps web parts they no longer work and throw javascript errors.

Cause

This can happen when the solution was retracted and not redeployed properly or not deployed at all if it was a migration.

Resolution

Please always check the JavaScript files exist under the directory "%Program Files%Common FilesMicrosoft SharedWeb Server Extensionswpresources"

Normally, installation of QuickApps should take care of deploying these JavaScript files to the server, but sometimes this part of the installation didn't work as expected due to issues with the environment. A re-installation of QuickApps should help in resolving the issue as the installation will put back the files needed.

NOTE: You can backup a copy of the files from another server that is not having this issue and copy them to the above directory on the affected server.
