Cause
The Quest Web Parts require a few modifications in the Web.Config file for their proper operation and to enable certain functions. The Configuration Editor can help you make this modification easily and to prevent errors while doing so.
Resolution
After installing Quest Web Parts:
1. Run Configuration editor.
2. Open web.config file for the web application where you're going to use wep parts
3. Fix all red lines in the web.config file
4. Repeat this for all web applications.
5. If you have multiple WFEs, run Configuration Editor on all front-end servers (you can copy the ConfigurationEditor.exe file from the Quest Web Parts installation folder)
