AnonymousParticipantIs this on 32 bit or 64 bit platform? If it is a 64 bit platform, there is a known bug that caused the installation to fail on 64 bit platform. We will post a new installer sometimes next week. Please check back again.
AnonymousParticipantNo we don't have that capability.
AnonymousParticipantAvaleri, can you either give us your email address so that we can contact you to troubleshoot this issue?
AnonymousParticipantBeegs, this is a know issue that we have fixed. Can I get your email so that I can send you the temporary link to download the new installer? At this time the admin person of sharepointforall site is elling and therefore, we can't update the installer in the site.
AnonymousParticipantWe will be adding this into our listview webpart but not scheduled for the discussionview at this time. We may revisit tihs later.
AnonymousParticipantI am having an error when trying to go to the configuration menu via the ezEdit option for the web part. The following post is the same error as I am experiencing:

Note I am using WSS 3.0 SP1 32bit. Thanks.
AnonymousParticipantHi ,
Do you have the full version of Quest Web Parts for SharePoint or did you download the free discussion view web part from sharepointforall.com? If you download the free version, then the "Create Complex Category Index List" functionality will not be useful for you anyway because the complex category functionality requires the qListForm web parts to work fully. But if you have the full version of Quest Web Parts for SharePoint, please open up a support ticket through http://support.quest.com.
AnonymousParticipantYes same here :o(
Worked fine on my test server (32bit) on my virtual machine but on the live server (64bit) we get the same error.
Looks like a fantastic webpart so please do let us know of any fix or if we can check any logs to help.

AnonymousParticipantI'm having the same issue as Daniel, and I have verified that I am a farm administrator. Please let me know if you come to any resolution on this issue. Thanks.

AnonymousParticipantHi Daniel
We will do some digging into this today to see if there are other reasons for this error, but seems to indicate that you may not have rights to install the webpart into the gallery on the desired Virtual server. The fact that stsadm had the same issue seems to verify this.
You can verify you are a farm administrator thru the central administration site for your server.
Click on operations, then Update Farm Administrators. If this doesn't help please let us know as we will have to dig in deeper.See Attached
AnonymousParticipantI agree, this is a very nice tool, huge improvemnt to the OTB discussion list.
I see how you can attach an item to the discussion, but is there a way to display a link to the attachment in the preview pane?
Thanks,
R.
AnonymousParticipantDoug,
I gave that a try but I get this Casting error.
The following error occurs: Specified cast is not valid.
AnonymousParticipantYes it will run on WSS v3.
AnonymousParticipantJames,
I'm the Dev Manager of this product. The error that you mentioned does not sound familiar to me. Can you log this issue to our support group and therefore, we can provide you with a better support? We may have to do a WebEx session to troubleshoot this. But in order to do so, I have to have the support ticket in hand. Please go to http://support.quest.com to open a support ticket.
AnonymousParticipantIf you edit the category display field itself as per below
See AttachedYou will see some grouping options towards the bottow:
